The Chasley Foundation is a non-profit company limited by guarantee, established to complement government and civil society efforts to reduce poverty and inequality in Zambia.
We work with vulnerable children and youth to ensure they access quality education, healthcare, nutrition, and dignified living conditions—while becoming agents of climate justice and sustainable development.
The Chasley Foundation began long before it had a name.
Our co-founders, Chaze Mwakoi and Wesley Chibamba, started by quietly supporting relatives in crisis—covering school fees, healthcare, and basic household needs from their own pockets. As the impact grew, so did the vision. Children who might have dropped out of school became graduates. Some are now professionals and community leaders in their own right.
What started as personal generosity evolved into a community response, and eventually into a nationwide mission. In October 2025, the Chasley Foundation was formally registered to scale this work, build strategic partnerships, and reach children across all ten provinces of Zambia.
A Zambia where empowered young people drive inclusive development and climate justice.
To be a leading philanthropic organisation enabling vulnerable children and youth to realise their full potential and contribute to positive societal transformation.
Our 2026–2030 Strategic Plan, “Advancing Human Development, Accelerating Climate Action”, sets out a bold roadmap for the next five years. We are aligning our work with:
Zambia’s 8th National Development Plan (8NDP)
The African Union’s Agenda 2063
The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDGs 1, 3, 4, 10 and 13.
Across this period, our programmes will focus on four strategic objectives:
Expand access to quality education for vulnerable children and youth.
Improve health outcomes through inclusive health insurance and school health support.
Enhance living conditions through nutrition and welfare support.
Foster climate consciousness and action among children and youth.
Identify vulnerable children through referrals and assessments.
Enrol beneficiaries into support pathways.
Deliver support through direct procurement.
Monitor progress and adapt.
